Best Rental Agents on Green Turtle Cay Bahamas

We do believe that Island Property Management has the best properties available for rent on Green Turtle Cay. The ladies in the office Julie, Leslie and Maria are the best. On every visit to Green Turtle Cay we are always greeted with such warmth and  hospitality. You can never go wrong renting a home from them.

Best place to rent a boat on Green Turtle Cay is Reef Rentals

Reef Rentals is in my opinion the best place to rent a boat on Green Turtle Cay. Edison and Joan Sawyer only rents the cleanest and best maintained boats. You will have the peace of mind knowing that you will not be stranded at sea, and Edison does an evening check on the boats too making sure they are secured correctly for the tidal conditions ... Tell them that Doug and Cecile sent you.

Green Turtle Cay, Abaco Bahamas

When God thought of the meaning of the word PARADISE he made Green Turtle Cay, Abaco Bahamas as the tangible representation. It is off the beaten path but well worth the effort.... It is not for the person that needs the busy resorts and lots of activities. Green Turtle appeals to the soul that needs peace, quiet and tranquility...
Green Turtle Cay  is one of the many islands of The Bahamas. It is located in the "Abaco Out Islands" and is 3 miles (4.8 km) long and 1/2 mile wide.  The population of Green Turtle Cay is approximately 450 people.  Its main settlement is New Plymouth which was founded in the 18th century.
Because Green Turtle Cay is off the beaten path, it can be quite a trek to get there, but when you do it will be well worth it. There are flights available from Miami and Ft lauderdale into Treasure Cay several times per day. From Treasure Cay International Air Port you make your way bu Taxi to the ferry dock, there you will catch the Green Turtle Ferry (Bolo) to Green Turtle Cay. Nigel or any of the other Captains can radio ahead to let your rental agent know you are on your way. If you are staying at the Bluff House or The Green Turtle Club you will be dropped off at their dock.
For accommodations, homes can be rented through several private individuals and rental agents on the island, our personal favorite being Island Property Management, the ladies there are great. If a private home is not your speed then the Bluff House and the Green Turtle Club are available. These are full service resorts with Marinas.
Green Turtle Cay is known for its excellent beaches, Gillam Bay being the best.
There are several grocery stores located there, Sid's, Curry's and Lowe's. Our favorite being Sid's, they have the best Coconut bread on the island. Please say Hi to Scott when you go in . There are also several restaurants, and bars scattered across Green Turtle Cay, McIntosh, Pineapples, The Wrecking tree, Laura's  kitchen and Harvy's to name a few. But for the best Cracked Conch our vote goes to McIntosh hands down also check out Debbie's pastries while you are there.
While cars are allowed on the island, golf carts are the usual mode of transport. Carts are easily rented for those visiting the island. There are several companies that provide cart rentals, Cruisin Carts, Kool Karts are great examples.
Abaco Yacht Services is a boat repair yard with haul-out slips on Black Sound for those who would prefer to sail to this beautiful isle.

There are lots to do on Green Turtle Cay, most are do it yourself and that's the charm. For the best selection of gifts, visit Native Creations in New Plymouth. While in town take a sight seeing tour visit the Albert Lowe Museum, The memorial Garden as well as Vert's Model Ship Shoppe are must see too.
For Bone fishing which I'm told some of the best is here in Green Turtle Cay contact Ronnie Sawyer.
For fishing excursion and picnic to cook your catch, Lincoln Jones is the person to call. For diving Brendal's Dive Center is a must. No busy resort themed island here. You can rent a boat from 1 of the 3 rental companies here. Reef Rentals owned by Joan and Edison Sawyer, Donnie's Boat Rentals and Sunset Boat Rentals.
Kick back enjoy and unwind that is what a visit to Green Turtle Cay is all about.....
